A beautiful early 1960’s Tiffany & Co. bird brooch set in solid 18k yellow gold.
The brooch depicts a sweet little bird perched on a tree branch spreading its wings. The piece has been cleverly crafted and designed with a range of gold textures and hammering to show the features of the bird and rough tree branch. The bird is then accented by a lovely pinkish-red round ruby – a popular stone used for eyes in many animal brooches!
The signature can be found at the back in the belly of the bird. Stamped “TIFFANY & CO. 18K”. Total ruby weight is estimated as 0.07 carats.
Total weight is exactly 9.10 grams. The brooch measures approximately 2.9 x 2.5 centimetres
