Vintage Chopard Adjustable Tassel Necklace

A beautiful vintage Chopard adjustable rope-work tassel necklace set in 18k yellow gold.

The necklace is composed of a beautifully crafted woven gold chain with each link being hand engraved with intricate line details. Hanging from each of end of the chain is a polished yellow gold cap which hangs a display of articulated yellow gold tassels. The tassels are fixed into place on the neck by a polished yellow gold clasp which creates this lovely ‘V’ shape on the neck. The clasp allows the wearer to change the length with ease and once clicked shut are held in place securely.

The simple yet effective gold work design gives the wearer that versatility to wear the piece at different lengths and also alternate the positioning of each individual tassel. This allows the piece to be styled with a broad range of outfits that can be worn to a variety of occasions.

The necklace is adjustable and can be extended to a maximum length of 30 inches (can be worn at any other length below this). For size reference the chain measures 6.5 millimetres in thickness, the adjustable clasp measure 18 x 12.5 millimetres and there is a gross weight of 136.9 grams. The necklace is signed Chopard, 750 to the back of the adjustable clasp. Accompanied with original blue Chopard pouch however no box or papers. Circa 1980.
