A beautiful vintage ruby eyed Dachshund dog brooch set in 18k yellow gold.
The brooch depicts a sitting Dachshund; which is set with two vibrant round cut ruby eyes. The Dachshunds body has been handcrafted and beautifully detailed with brushed and engraved aspects that depict the little dog’s fur. The piece is secured to reverse with a double pin fitting.
Due to the design and the vibrancy of the ruby eyes, this piece beautifully stands out when worn on either a jumper, jacket or shirt. A perfect gift for a dog lover!
There is an estimated total ruby weight of 0.02 carats and both rub perfectly matched in colour. For size reference the brooch measures approximately 3.2 x 1.5 centimetres (from the widest points) and there is a gross weight of 10.1 grams. The dog is signed and hallmarked as being made in Italy, 18k gold and is circa 1969.
