The bee’s body is firstly composed of fifteen round cut blue sapphires and one round brilliant cut diamond which sparkles elegantly in the centre of the design. The bee’s wings are then hand carved to give a naturalistic look to the design and the head is set with two round cut rubies. Lastly the bug is accented with six solid gold legs.

The brooch is secured to reverse with a simple yet secure pin fitting. Due to the design of the piece it could be worn for a variety of occasions!

There is an estimated total diamond weight of 0.03 carats. This is estimated as G/H in colour with VVS-VS clarity. There is a total blue sapphire weight of 0.35 carats and all have been perfectly matched in colour. For size reference the bee measures 1.8 x 2.0 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 5.0 grams. The brooch is signed and hallmarked 18k, Tiffany & Co. Estimated to be circa 1980’s.
