Vintage Cartier Maillon Walking Panther Necklace with Emeralds

A beautiful vintage Cartier Maillon walking Panthère necklace set in solid 18k yellow gold.

The necklace is composed of exactly 96 solid gold flat links, connected in the Maillon Panthère brick link design. Set centrally within the necklace is the classic Cartier Panthère motif which is designed to be walking elegantly down the wearers neck. The feline is set with two round cut emerald eyes and a cute onyx nose.

The Maillon Panthère brick link design is a timeless Cartier favourite due to how the links lie flat and comfortably on the neck. Because each aspect is an individual articulated link, once on we see these lovely grooves which has a beautiful effect and emphasises the contrast of the gold colouring. The panther sits lovely and proud on the neck and due to being set in the Maillon brick link also lies flat.

The necklace is secured with a push tongue clasp. Additionally, the piece is fitted with a hidden safety clasp.

The necklace measures 15 1/2 inches (39 centimetres) in length and 0.3 inches (0.8 centimetres) in thickness and there is a gross weight of 96.7 grams. The necklace can be extended upon request! The panther itself measures 5.3 x 1.5 centimetres (from the widest points). The necklace is signed and hallmarked Cartier, 750, with the serial number 611821. The piece is not accompanied with a Cartier box or papers, but it is supplied with our own valuation for insurance and authenticity.
