A charming Cartier elephant with calf brooch set in 18 karat yellow gold, circa 1990. The brooch is designed as an adult mother elephant and its calf, in polished yellow gold.
The reason this brooch is so beautiful is down to the design! The calf can be detached from its mother and worn as a pendant around the neck.
The brooch is secured to reverse with a hinged pin and barrel clasp fitting.
Both elephants are signed Cartier, 750, with the serial number 647609. For size reference the brooch measures 3.5 x 1.8 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 14.93 grams.
