A truly elegant Edwardian old cut diamond tiara set in silver and gold, circa 1910.
This beautifully handcrafted tiara is composed of a number of elegant foliate scroll motifs, commonly seen within the Victorian and Edwardian jewellery eras. The tiara is centred with a fleur-de-lis inspired spray, topped with the three largest old mine cut diamonds in the tiara. There is a grand total of 264 diamonds set within the piece and due to the spread of the design sparkles from all angles.
This tiara is a classic piece of antique craftsmanship. The foliate scrolls are set in silver and gold and is from the Edwardian era, circa 1910. The floral engraved frame is made of silver and is a later 1940’s addition (this aspect of the tiara is hallmarked).
The piece has been assessed by our inhouse gemmologist as having an estimated total diamond weight of 7.20 carats. The diamonds are a mix of rose cut, old mine cut and single cut diamonds and range from H-J in colour with VS-SI clarity.
The piece is accompanied by a bespoke fitted box. A valuation for insurance and authenticity will also be provided.
