Art Deco Convertible Diamond and Natural Pearl Tiara Choker
Out of stock
A truly spectacular antique diamond and pearl convertible diadem/choker, set in platinum. Circa 1915-1920
This piece is a true one of a kind and centrally features a beautiful 12 x 11 millimetre natural white pearl. This large pearl is perfectly set amongst a symmetrical surround of old cut diamonds. The platinum work is delicately detailed with scrolled leaves within geometric panelling which echos that of the typical style of the early Art Deco period.
What is so fantastic about this piece is the design behind it. Not only can this piece be worn on the head as a subtle diadem but it can also be fastened around the neck and worn as a choker. Because the diadem/choker is composed of platinum spring panelling the piece adapts to the shape of the wearers head and neck and sits incredibly comfortably. It is accompanied by two black velvet ties.
The piece is set with approximately 512 diamonds which are a mixture of old mine cut and single cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight is approximately 32.76 carats. The piece weighs approximately 56.54 grams and is accompanied by a bespoke fitted box.
