Certified Art Deco 2.59ct Transitional Cut Ring
£24,500
Out of stock
A beautiful late Art Deco single solitaire transitional cut diamond engagement ring set in platinum.
The piece is solely set with a lovely 2.59 carat round cut diamond. This diamond is securely 8 claw set in a raised filigree mounting which complements the diamond perfectly and makes the stone look extremely elegant whilst on the hand. The true beauty of this piece all lies in the minimalistic design and the focal point which is the stunning central diamond.
What people may not know is that the term ‘transitional cut’ refers to the period between the 1920’s and 1940’s where the diamond industry was gradually developing and moving from the traditional old mine and old European cuts to the more commonly seen round brilliant cuts that we use today.
The ring is currently a UK finger size L (USA finger size 5 3/4) but can be resized upon request. The diamond is accompanied by a GCS certificate and has been assessed as a 2.59 carat, I colour, SI2 clarity. Although graded as an SI2 the inclusions highlighted are on the very edge of the diamond and therefore hidden under claws. Whilst on the finger the imperfections are near unnoticeable.
