A stylish pair of vintage Carrera y Carrera onyx swivel back earrings set in 18k yellow gold.
Each earring is firstly composed of two carved onyx leaves which are secured into place by yellow gold claws. Towards the bottom of the leaves is a bezel set round brilliant cut diamond from which hangs a tear crop shaped hoop. The earrings are secured to reverse with a swivel back fitting – ideal for unpierced ears!
Due to the design and size these earrings could be worn for a variety of occasions.
There is a combined diamond weight of approximately 0.02 carats. These diamonds are G-H in colour with VS clarity. The earrings measure 4.9 x 1.5 and there is a gross weight of 7.1 grams. Both earrings are signed and hallmarked 750, with the Carrera stamp, and matching serial numbers 272011. Circa late 1970’s.
