An interesting pair of diamond and ruby insect earrings set in brushes 18k yellow gold.
The earrings are designed in a Victorian style however they are in-fact of modern make! They are predominately set with an oval ruby, which forms the abdomen of each critter. These rubies both measure approximately 4×4.5mm and have a combined carat weight of 0.40ct. Above each ruby we see the largest of the round brilliant cut diamonds which perfectly contrasts the vibrant ruby. To complete the look the insects eyes and wings are further grain set with diamonds.
Each earring is set in 18k yellow gold with aspects being brushed/blackened to highlight the diamonds and ruby. Each are secured with a post and scroll butterfly fitting.
Total diamond weight is approximately 0.20ct. Total ruby weight approximately 0.40ct.
Gross weight 4.22 grams.
