A beautiful pair of amethyst drop earrings set in 18k yellow gold.
Each earring solely features an elegant faceted cushion amethyst (referred to commonly as a checkerboard cut) stone which is securely bezel set. This faceted/checkerboard design gives the amethyst a remarkable ‘shimmer’ once on the ear making them an incredibly versatile pair of earrings to wear. The earrings are secured to reverse with a post and butterfly fitting.
Due to their design and size these earrings could easily be worn for everyday or dressed up for more special occasions.
For size reference the earrings measure 0.8 x 1.6 centimetres and have a combined weight of 3.2 grams. There is an estimated total amethyst weight of 2.20 carats, and both are perfectly matched in colour. Each earring is hallmarked 18k.
