Vintage 1980’s Boucheron Lapis and Diamond Bird Brooch

A beautiful early 1980’s Boucheron bird brooch set in 18k yellow gold.

This striking design depicts a perching bird and is composed of panels of polished yellow gold. The grooves in the body of the bird are magnificent and create a beautiful effect once worn. The bird is accented with a pear cut lapis lazuli eye which is highlighted by a halo of round brilliant cut diamonds. The broch is secured to reference with a double pin and roller clasp fitting.

Due to the design the piece would look fantastic on a jacket or lapel.

For size reference the bird measures approximately 3.8 x 6.6 (from the widest points) and there is a gross weight of 29.1 grams. The signature can be found at the back of the bird on the pin fitting. Signed BOUCHERON, 750, Total ruby weight is estimated as 0.07 carats.
