A beautiful and very collectable Victorian diamond, pearl and ruby crab brooch. This brooch was made in England around 1880 and is a wonderful example of Victorian craftsmanship at its finest. Exquisitely hand made in the traditional way using silver on gold this brooch is
predominantly set with a large mabé pearl to form the crabs shell which is encircled by old cut diamonds.
The legs are also studded with old cut diamonds and the front claws have been beautifully polished so that they stand out. The eyes are two deep red rubies.

This crab would be a great addition to any lapel, scarf or even hat and will sparkle beautifully in the evening.

The brooch measures approximately 3.7 x 2.7 centimetres.
