A stylish vintage Cartier Tonneau ‘Dual Time’ 18ct yellow gold wrist watch with quartz movement.
The watch features a 26 mm x 40mm stainless steel and 18 carat gold round case with cream dial, Roman numerals, and sapphire glass. Quartz movement and two sapphire cabochon crowns.
This particular tonneau is a dual time, displaying two time zones of your choice at once. The watch itself is curved to habituate a wrist comfortably.

Taking its name from the French for barrel, the tonneau has an elongated lozenge-type shape with parallel flat edges at the top and bottom. Whereas a circle fits neatly within a square with little adjustment, the tonneau pulls the display at either end, an impression exaggerated by the tall Roman numerals and condensed minute track, within which sit two dials each taking one half of the watch face, and four incongruously traditional pomme-shaped hands.

The Dual Time, as the name suggests, has two dials to display two time zones that can be adjusted using the independent crowns. You can set the time difference so that each time is displayed separately, so I think it’s easier to understand if you think of it as the same as the GMT function.
The size of 26mm in width and 40mm in height may seem large when you just look at the numbers, but it is actually the perfect size as it curves to fit your arm.
