Vintage Cartier Panther Pelage Diamond and Onyx Ring

A rare Cartier onyx and diamond Panther Pelage cocktail ring set in 18k white gold.

From the now discontinued Panther Pelage collection the piece is composed in a bombé design, pavé set throughout with sparkly round brilliant cut diamonds. Within the unique bombé shape are scattered cabochon onyx stones mimicking that of panther fur.

Due to the design and size, the piece is extremely striking once on the finger. The contrast between the onyx and diamonds is elegant yet eye-catching making it an overall beautiful piece to own. The Cartier panther collection is a firm favourite by many and with the piece now being discontinued it is incredibly rare to come across.

There is an estimated total diamond weight of 3.50 carats these range from F-G in colour with VVS1-VVS2 clarity. The ring is signed and hallmarked Cartier, 750, 53 with the serial number 64036A. The ring is not accompanied by papers. The ring is currently a Cartier finger size 53 which converts to a UK size M ½, USA size 6 ¼, however this can be resized slightly for a perfect fit (please enquire).

For size reference, the head of the ring measures 2.8 x 2.5 x 1.2 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 23.10 grams.
