Vintage Cartier Panthère Bangle

A beautiful vintage 1980’s Panthère de Cartier bangle set in stainless steel and 18k tri coloured gold.

This incredibly stylish bangle is composed of two solid yellow gold panther heads. These heads are connected to a coiled stainless steel and yellow gold bangle aspect by three rows of tricoloured polished gold. The bangle is a ‘half flexible’ bracelet which makes it incredibly easy to take on and off; however once on being very secure.

You can find the Cartier signature under one of the panther head. There is an additional stamp ‘Or Et Acier’. This term refers to the technique of using both stainless steel and gold in the same piece of jewellery. This trend was incredibly popular in the late 1980’s as the stainless steel gave a more striking, darker contrast against the yellow gold.

The piece is a medium size and would fit anyone with a wrist measuring between16-19 centimetres. Total weight is exactly 37.6 grams. Cartier reference number: A7589.
