Vintage Cartier London Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring

A beautiful vintage Cartier ruby and diamond cluster ring set in 18k yellow gold.

The piece is centrally set with a vibrant oval cut ruby which is four-claw set securely. The ruby has a fantastic colouring to it and is surrounded by a cluster of 8 round brilliant cut diamonds; all of which are claw set in a yellow gold open back setting.

Once worn the piece truly comes to life. The contrast of the red ruby against the diamonds and yellow gold is simply superb. The ring could be paired nicely with a wedding band and/or eternity ring.

There is a total ruby weight of 0.65 carats, the ruby is a beautiful colour and is noted to have a slight internal fracture to one corner (hidden by claw), this does not affect the durability of the piece.. There is an estimated total diamond weight of 0.88 carats, estimated F-G in colour with VVS-VS clarity. The ring is currently a UK finger size J ½ (USA size 4 ¾) but this can be resized for a perfect fit. The ring is lastly stamped with the Jacques Cartier stamp (JC), London hallmarks, 1985 date letter, Cartier, 750 (for gold), with the serial number R6146.

For size reference, the head of the ring measures 1 centimetres in diameter and there is a gross weight of 3.1 grams. The piece is accompanied by a complimentary valuation for insurance and proof of ownership purposes.
