Vintage Cartier Diamond Door Knocker Earrings

A beautiful vintage pair of Cartier diamond door knocker dangly earrings set in 18k yellow gold.

Each earring is composed of a graduating diamond set bail which hangs a doorknocker hoop. The hoop is set to each side with trinity bands and accented with eight round brilliant cut diamonds. The earrings are secured to reverse with a post and alpha back fitting.

The beauty of these earrings lies in the design. The bail allows the earrings to move freely on the ear allowing to diamonds to sparkle beautifully from all angles.

There is an estimated total carat weight of 0.94 carats, estimated as G-H in colour, VVS clarity. The earrings measure approximately 2.5 x 2.0 centimetres and have a combined weight of 13.4 grams. Lastly, the earrings are signed and hallmarked Cartier, 750, with matching serial numbers 723849. Circa 1980’s.
