Vintage Cartier Destinée Ruby and Diamond Halo Ring

A beautiful vintage Cartier ruby and diamond halo ring set in platinum.

From the current ‘Destinée’ collection; the ring is predominantly set with a ­­1.05 carat cushion cut vibrant red ruby. This ruby is securely four claw set in an open back platinum setting. The ruby is then elegantly surrounded by a halo of round brilliant cut diamonds which highlight the vibrancy of the red perfectly. The diamonds continue round to the shoulders that travel halfway round to a 2.5-millimetre band.

Due to the design and the stone being slightly raised on the hand this ring can be placed next to a wedding and/or eternity band perfectly.

The central ruby has a total weight of 1.05 carats. The rest of the mount has an estimated combined diamond weight of 0.48 carats, estimated to be F-G in colour with VVS clarity. The ring is currently a UK finger size L (USA finger size 6) but this can be resized slightly for a perfect fit. The ring is signed and hallmarked Cartier, 52, Pt950 with the serial number IGJ062. For size reference, the head of the ring measures ­­­0.8 x 0.8 centimetres and it sits 0.7 centimetres in height. There is a gross weight of exactly 3.7 grams.
