Vintage Elephant Maillon Panthère Bracelet

A simply stunning Cartier Paris diamond Elephant Maillon Panthère bracelet set in solid 18k yellow gold; circa early 1980’s.

The bracelet is composed of a central panel which depicts a family of three walking elephants. Each elephant is milgrain set with round brilliant cut diamonds and are each accented with a round cut emerald eye. The elephants are connected to each other by a hinge fitting which allows the animals to move ever so slightly with the wrist.

Each larger elephant is the then connected and flows nicely into the link bracelet. This link bracelet is in the classic “Maillon” link design – a popular collection by Cartier in the late 1970’s. The links then follow through to a secure tongue clasp fitting with an added safety catch. The bracelet is the signed and stamped ‘Cartier 641407’.

There is an estimated total carat weight of 10.00 carats, ranging E-F in colour with VS clarity. The length of the bracelet is exactly 7 1/2 inches (3 inches to each side of the central elephant plaque) however links can be removed for a perfect fit! The total weight of the bracelet is exactly 79.3 grams.
