Vintage 1980’s Blue Sapphire and Diamond Dress Ring

A beautiful vintage 1980’s blue sapphire and diamond dress ring set in 18k yellow gold.

The ring is composed in an iconic 80’s design, set centrally with an oval cut blue sapphire. The sapphire is rub over set securely in yellow gold and is slightly raised amongst four rows of channel set diamonds. The diamonds travel half way across the finger which meet a solid but graduating 6-millimetre band.

Due to the design and size this ring could be worn for a variety of occasions. The piece could be worn by itself as a stand-alone piece, or alternatively stacked up amongst other pieces.

For size reference the band measures 1.15 centimetres in width and sits 0.7 centimetres off the finger. There is an estimated total diamond weight of 1.76 carats. These range from G-H in colour with VS clarity. There is a total blue sapphire weight of 2.17 carats The ring is currently a finger size M (USA finger size approximate 6), due to the design this could be resized for a perfect fit. The ring is hallmarked 750 for 18k gold and weighs 9.6 grams.
