Late Art Deco Sapphire Cocktail Ring

A rather interesting late Art Deco sapphire cocktail ring set in platinum.

The ring is set to the center with a mixed cut dark blue sapphire which is securely eight claw set in a platinum setting. Surrounding the central stone are ten calibre cut blue sapphires which perfectly match the color and luster of the largest central stone.

The central sapphire has a total carat weight of 2.23 carats and has been perfectly matched to the surrounding cluster. The calibre cut sapphires have a further carat weight of 2.65 carats. The ring is from the late Art Deco period (1930’s), and therefore is not hallmarked but has been tested for platinum. The ring is currently a UK finger size O (USA size 7 ½), however this can be resized for a perfect fit. For size reference the head of the ring measures 1.4 x 1.7 centimeters and there is a gross weight of 8.4 grams.
