Art Deco Diamond Swirl Ring in Platinum
A stunning Art Deco old cut diamond swirl ring set in platinum, circa 1930.
The ring is designed as a bombe style and centrally features a beautiful old European cut diamond, millegrain set securely. Surrounding the central diamond is a display of swirls which create the lovely bombe shape. The swirls are set throughout with single cut and old European cut diamonds which add the perfect amount of additional sparkle to the piece.
Once on the hand the ring truly comes to life! Due to the design, the piece has a beautiful spread across the finger and all the diamonds can be appreciated and sparkle from all angles.
The central old European cut diamond is estimated to weigh 0.60 carats. This is estimated to be H-I in colour with VS clarity. The remaining diamonds set within the spiral are estimated to have a combined weight of 1.40 carats and are a near perfect match to the larger central diamond ranging from H-I in colour with VS-VS2 clarity.
The ring in currently a UK finger size L, which converts to a USA finger size 5 ¾, but this can be resized upon request for a perfect fit. For size reference the head of the ring measures 1.6 x 2.0 centimetres and there is a gross weight of exactly 4.0 grams. The piece is not hallmarked, which is fairly common in older Art Deco pieces, but has been tested from platinum.
