A vintage 1961 manual wind Rolex Oyster Precision wristwatch with a customized California dial.
The watch features a 34-millimetre stainless-steel case and is fitted with a unique cork strap with a Rolex buckle. The dial and sword hands are original to the watch however the face has been customized with an off-white California dial. The California dial predominately refers to the mixed use of Roman and Arabic numerals, with dashes being used for the hours of 3, 6 and 9 and a triangle used for the 12. The style of dial was incredibly popular in the 1930’s and 1940’s
