A beautiful vintage Cartier ruby bee brooch set in 18k yellow gold.
The bee has been beautifully handcrafted and predominantly features a rub over set cabochon ruby stone. This stone acts as the bee’s head and the body has been expertly enamelled with black stripes. The wings are polished yellow gold and reflect the light elegantly once worn.
Due to the size and design this bee could be worn for a variety of occasions. It would look fantastic on a lapel, blouse, or even a coat pocket.
For size reference the bee measures 1.4 x 1.7 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 2.8 grams. The bee is signed and hallmarked on the wing Cartier, 750, with the serial number 929416. Circa, 1990.
