A charming vintage Cartier elephant brooch set in 18k yellow gold.
The brooch depicts a beautiful standing elephant with its trunk up in the air (a sign of luck). The elephant is crafted in polished yellow gold and set with two round cut emerald eyes. The brooch is lastly secured to reverse with a double pin fitting and roller clasp.
Due to the size and design this brooch would look fantastic on a lapel of a jacket/coat.
The elephant is signed and hallmarked Cartier, 750, with the serial number 651738A. French hallmarking’s can also be seen on the pin fitting. For size reference the brooch measures 3.4 x 4.8 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 24.5 grams.
