Vintage Cartier Diamond and Hematite Panther Pendant

A beautiful vintage Cartier ‘Panthere De Cartier’ panther pendant set in 18k yellow gold.

The pendant depicts Cartier’s most iconic motif, the panther, made of carved hematite and yellow gold. The panther elegantly hangs from a diamond set bail and is further accented with two round cut diamond eyes.

Due to the design this pendant could be worn for a variety of occasions. The pendant does not include a chain – please enquire.

There is an estimated total diamond weight of 0.20 carats. These diamonds are estimated F-G in colour with VVS clarity. For size reference the panther measures 3.3 x 5.5 (including the bail) and there is a gross weight of 27.1 grams. The pendant is signed and hallmarked Cartier, 750, with the serial number 911056.

The panther is circa 1990. The overall condition of the pendant is good but noting there is sign of age and wear on the hematite in various places. This does not affect the look or value of the piece but should be noted upon purchase.
