Vintage Boucheron Amethyst, Sapphire and Diamond Owl Necklace

An extremely striking vintage Boucheron amethyst, sapphire and diamond owl pendant necklace set in 18k white gold.

From the now discontinued ‘Noctua’ collection, the owl has been beautifully hand crafted and features an array of coloured gemstones. What stands out predominantly are the vibrant amethyst cabochon eyes that are claw set securely and haloed by fine round brilliant cut diamonds. The owl’s body and wings are pave set throughout with blue sapphires, diamonds and amethysts which sparkle beautifully once on the neck.

Interestingly the owl does not hang from a bail but instead perches on the accompanying Boucheron white gold chain. The chain threads through the owl’s wings and through the feet making sure it is incredibly secure. The chain measures 16-inches.

Due to the design and size, this necklace could be worn for a variety of occasions.

There is a total diamond weight of 0.34 carats, estimated G-H in colour with VVS clarity. There is a staggering total sapphire weight of 3.41 carats. The necklace is signed and hallmarked BOUCHERON, 750, with the serial number E81299. For size reference the pendant measures 2.2 x 2.4 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 19.3 grams.
