Akoya Pearl Strand Necklace with Vintage Art Deco Diamond Clasp

An elegant white Akoya pearl strand necklace with a vintage Art Deco diamond clasp set in silver on gold.

The necklace is set with 50 round Akoya pearls from Japan. The strand is knotted between the pearls to protect them from scratching each other. It is then secured with a beautiful silver-coloured Art Deco clasp set with 14 old-cut diamonds.

These Akoya cultured pearls displayed a white to cream body colour and a silverish-pink overtone, which shows an iridescence bright silk-like lustre under lights. The tiny growth marks of the pearls shows its natural oceanic nacre.
