Burmese Red Ruby and Old Mine Cut Trilogy Ring
A beautiful late Art Deco ruby and old mine cut diamond trilogy engagement ring set in 18k yellow and white gold.
This classic design of engagement ring is centrally set with a round cut ruby which is a beautiful Burmese red colour. This ruby is then eight claw set in an open back triple setting. The vibrant ruby is sided by two incredibly sparkly old mine cut diamonds. The stones then lead to a solid 2mm yellow gold band.
Due to the piece being incredibly symmetrical; it sits beautifully on the hand. The spread of the stones across the finger is extremely elegant and because the setting is simple it can easily be stacked with other rings such as an eternity or wedding band.
There is an estimated total ruby weight of 0.91 carats. Both side diamonds are old mine cuts and have an estimated total carat weight of 0.60 carats. These are estimated to be G/H in colour with VS clarity – spectacular specifications for such old stones. The ring is currently a UK finger size J (USA size approximate 4 ¾) but this can be resized for a perfect fit. It is not stamped as 18k gold however has been tested; it weighs a total 2.9 grams. The ring is accompanied by a full valuation for insurance purposes by our in-house valuer. Circa 1930’s.
