1960’s Diamond and Sapphire Floral Cocktail Bombe RingSKU: 7003121
A rather unique early 1960’s diamond and sapphire floral cocktail bombe ring set in 18k yellow gold.
This beautiful piece is centrally set with a cluster of 20 round brilliant cut diamonds which gives the illusion of one larger diamond. To each side are 6 round cut deep blue sapphires which beautifully contrast against the yellow gold and white diamonds. Interestingly, the sapphires and diamonds are then surrounded by a feathering of yellow gold wire work petals which are all soldered together to create this lovely bombe design. The head of the ring is set in an open back setting which makes the ring incredibly comfortable once on the hand and flows round seamlessly to a 3 millimetre band.
The design of the ring is typical of the 60’s era and is a true one of a kind piece. Because of how the ring is made it stands out beautifully on the hand and could be worn for a variety of occasions. The ring could be worn for everyday use if the wearer desired or dressed up for more special occasions – the options are endless!
The ring is currently a UK finger size N 1/2 (USA size 6 3/4) but this can be resized for a perfect fit. There is an estimated total diamond weight of 0.20 carats which are estimated to be G-H in colour with VS1 clarity. There is an estimated total sapphire weight of 0.16 carats and all are perfectly matched in a deep blue colour. The ring weighs a total of 11.3 grams.
For size reference the ring head measures 1.8 x 1.9 centimetres.
