A beautiful vintage bird and nest brooch set in 18k yellow gold.
The brooch depicts a bird perching on a branch beside it’s nest. It has been beautifully hand crafted and the gold has been carved to depict naturalistic features! The nest is set with three small seed pearls to depict eggs and the branch is accented with a single piece of turquoise and round cut diamond. Lastly the bird is set with a single sapphire for an eye. The brooch is secured to reverse with a pin and roller claps fitting.
Due to the design and the vibrancy of the piece, it beautifully stands out when worn on either a jumper, jacket or shirt. A perfect gift for a bird lover!
For size reference the brooch measures approximately 2.2 x 3.8 centimetres (from the widest points) and there is a gross weight of 8.9 grams. The bird is hallmarked 18k gold.
