Vintage Piaget Chrysoprase and Ruby Bird Brooch

A beautiful vintage Piaget chrysoprase bird brooch set in 18k yellow gold.

From a discontinued collection, the brooch depicts a bird perching on a branch. The main body of the bird is composed of a large 20mm blue-ish green cabochon chrysoprase stone. The rest of the bird is made of various yellow gold components, with the head being set with a small round cut ruby stone. The way the chrysoprase has been cut gives the bird a fuller appearance and the colour and contrast against the yellow gold makes it stand out nicely on a coat or jacket pocket. The brooch is secured to reverse with a pin and roller claps fitting.

Due to the design and the vibrancy of the chrysoprase in the piece, it beautifully stands out when worn on either a jumper, jacket or shirt. A perfect gift for a bird lover!

For size reference the brooch measures approximately 4.1 x 5.8 centimetres (from the widest points) and there is a gross weight of 18.8 grams. The bird is hallmarked 18k gold, PIAGET. The brooch is accompanied by the original box and a service paper from Piaget.
