A beautiful vintage Mauboussin sapphire eyed dog brooch set in 18k yellow gold.
The brooch depicts a playing dog with its tail up in the air. The dogs body has been beautifully crafted with hand engraved detailing around the face and paws. Lastly the dog is set with sapphire cabochon eyes. The piece is secured to reverse with a roller clasp pin fitting. Additionally, the tail acts as a bail so the wearer has the option to wear the dog around the neck if desired.
Due to the design, this piece beautifully stands out when worn on either a jumper, jacket or shirt. A perfect gift for any dog lover!
For size reference the brooch measures approximately 2.2 x 2.4 centimetres (from the widest points) and there is a gross weight of 15.5 grams. The dog is signed and hallmarked Mauboussin Paris, 18k, with the serial number 46261.
