A beautiful vintage Rhino brooch set in 18k yellow gold.
The brooch depicts a standing side view of rhino which is set with a singular round brilliant cut diamond eye. The rhino’s skin has been beautifully hand crafted in 18k yellow gold to give the brooch naturalistic features. You’ll see that the maker has really enhanced the key features of the rhino such as the feet and mouth so that it stands out beautifully once worn.
Due to the size and design this brooch would be a perfect addition to a jumper and/or coat. A perfect gift for any wildlife lover!
The brooch is secured to reverse with a double hinged pin and barrel clasp fitting. It measures exactly 5.4 x 3.2 centimetres and has a gross weight of exactly 23.1 grams. There is an estimated total diamond weight of 0.03 carats. The brooch is stamped 750 for 18k gold. Circa 1990’s.
