A lovely diamond and sapphire seahorse pin brooch set in platinum
The brooch depicts a swimming seahorse which is pavé set throughout with 54 round brilliant cut diamonds and 3 baguette cut diamonds. The seahorse has been cleverly detailed so that the wearer can clearly see the naturalistic features of the creature. Lastly, the seahorse is accented with a cabochon sapphire eye.
Due to the size and design this brooch would be a perfect addition to a jumper and/or coat.
The brooch is secured to reverse with a hinged pin and barrel clasp fitting. It measures exactly 1.5 x 4.1 centimetres and has a gross weight of 10.2 grams. There is a total diamond weight of 0.63 carats which are estimated to be F-G in colour with VS-VS2 clarity. The brooch is handmade in England and is hallmarked 950 for platinum.
