Rare Georgian 4.5ct Rose-Cut Diamond Bracelet Silver-on-Gold
A rare Georgian rose-cut diamond bracelet set in silver-on-gold, circa 1800. Designed as an openwork panel bracelet with scrolled motifs, the bracelet is composed of a central plaque from which issue smaller ones, gently tapering towards the clasp. The central plaque features a large rose-cut diamond cut-down-collet-set to the centre in a closed-back setting, the bracelet similarly-set throughout with smaller rose-cut diamonds. The bracelet is triply secured with a click-shut and a safety catch fittings, and a later-added safety chain.
The central diamond is estimated to weigh 1.50 carats, H/I colour, VS clarity. Remaining diamonds approximately 3.0 carats in total, F-I colour, VS/SI clarity.
